The region held a referendum, and the majority voted to go back to Russia. Compare that to Counties in Illinois voting to secede from Cook County resulting in the Governor mobilizing the state police and national guard against them. People scream this is proof Putin wants to conquer all of Europe. If that were true, we’d have seen far bolder moves from Russia a long time ago. But no, logic and historical context get drowned out by talking points. And don’t even get me started on Ukraine walking away from peace talks when Trump sought to broker a deal, or the corruption that’s rampant in Zelensky’s own government. If anyone’s a puppet, it’s Zelensky—he’s stuck serving oligarchs and foreign interests that profit from endless war.

I pray for Ukraine; I pray for peace. But while folks wave their flags and say “I stand with Ukraine,” I see them fueling a bigger conflict. And that leads to one outcome: more death, more destruction, and a fatter payday for the war mongers. Peace is the only rational goal here, not more bodies. If that “triggers” folks to the point they want to “unfriend/block/ban” me, then I’ll happily show you to the door.

BOTTOM LINE = I am not changing my viewpoint to many anyone FEEL better.
